It routes the serial signals from an Arduino Pro, Pro Mini, Fio, or LilyPad board (along with any other board which uses the standard FTDI header footprint) either to the programming PC via a USB-to-serial bridge or to any other device with the FTDI Basic-type header. I added a 47uF and 0.1uF caps for cleaner supply to the chip based on suggestions in comment section. The FTDI SmartBasic hardware is pretty simple. The capacitor for reset is 0.1 µf and it seems that connections are fine as there was no issue with uploading using another Uno board as ISP.I would love if anyone can help me out with this.
I tried different combination of programmer in IDE but futile.
SPI programming using another Uno board works fine. The bootloader in the chip is that of the Arduino Uno and it was burned using another Uno board. I used both ways of uploading (directly and upload using programmer) and nothing worked. Pin 19: status LED (similar to pin 13 LED on standard Arduino Uno)

Pins 9 & 10: 16 MHz oscillator and 22pf capacitor in series Pin 1: 10k resistor to 5V, 0.1uF capacitor pin series with DTR of FTDI I have selected the following board specification in the Arduino IDE: There isn't any bootloader issue as pin 13 LED flickers as soon as I plug in USB cable. The error suggests that the programmer is not responding and ten attempts issuing not in sync code. My circuit is as seen and I hope there is no error with the wiring.
